Cheyette, Bryan

Bryan Cheyette is currently Professor of Twentieth Century Literature at the University of Southampton. Before this he taught Victorian and Modern Literature, Cultural Studies, Holocaust Literature and Contemporary Jewish and postcolonial Literatures at the Universities of Leeds, London and Michigan. His books include Construction of 'the Jew' in English Literature and Society (Cambridge UP, 1993) and, as editor, Between 'Race' and Culture (Stanford UP, 1996) and HG Wells, Tono-Bungay (Oxford, Worlds Classics) and is currently completing Diasporas of the Mind: British-Jewish Writing and the Nightmare of History (Yale UP).
